SAMBALPUR: Police busted a pretend detergent powder manufacturing unit at Nuapada in Ainthapali on Saturday evening and arrested two individuals on this connection.The accused are Naresh Agarwal and Ashish Agarwal of Aithapali. The duo was concerned in making pretend ‘Surf Excel’ detergent powder that’s manufactured by Hinudstan Unilever Limited (HUL). 

Police mentioned on the idea of a grievance filed by HUL officers concerning sale of faux detergent packets by some merchants in Sambalpur city, a particular crew was shaped and raided a number of enterprise institutions in Khetrajpur wholesale market. During the raid, 502 Surf Excel packets of 90 gm every had been seized from the shop of Naresh. 

During interrogation, the dealer revealed that he introduced the packets from one other businessman Ashish who occurs to be a wholesaler of HUL merchandise. The police crew then raided Ashish’s godown and located 5,280 Surf Excel packets and a big amount of unpacked detergent powder.
