Odisha Govt Targets To Complete PMGSY Roads By March-End – ODISHA BYTES

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha authorities has set the goal to finish the PMGSY roads by the top of March this 12 months.

Engineer-in-Chief and Special Secretary Rural Development Upnedra Kumar Mund stated as per the annual motion plan, 2095 km of highway have been taken up within the state underneath PMGSY for 2021-22. As of now, 1500 km have been accomplished. Out of the stability roads, 250 kms are within the Left wing contaminated areas. These roads are largely in remoted areas of Malkangiri, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Koraput districts.
“So far, 64,821 km of road and 583 bridges have been sanctioned under PMGSY against which 61,428 km road and 412 bridges have been completed with investment of around Rs 26,329 crore,” stated Additional Secretary Rural improvement Sudarshan Parida. Presently, the initiatives are being financed each by Central and State Government on 60:40 sharing foundation.
Additional chief secretary Home Sanjeev Chopra, AG Police Amitav Thakur together with senior officers and engineers of the division participated within the assessment.
