Women beat councilor on Bhopal’s Shahpura Food Street, case registered

Navdunia Representative, Bhopal. There was a fight with local councilor Arvind Kumar Verma on Shahpura Food Street on Sunday evening. Arvind is the councilor of Ward 48 and had gone to have tea with his friends. Here, when history-sheeter criminal Paras Meena saw him, he first misbehaved with him and then along with his mother Radhabai, wife and sister-in-law, started assaulting the councilor and his friends. BJP District President Sumit Pachauri sought answers from his party councilor and issued a notice.

Arvind and his friends somehow escaped from there and then complained to Chunabhatti police station. On the complaint of the councilor, a case has been registered against the four accused. The accused women have also accused the councilor of molestation. The police is investigating the matter after complaints from both the parties. The video of this incident has become widely circulated on the internet media and has become a topic of discussion in the city.

Both parties came together to complain, there was an uproar in the police station.

After the fight, councilor Arvind Kumar Verma immediately reached Chunabhatti police station and was filing the complaint, when Paras and the women of his house also reached the police station from behind. The police had registered a case against the councilor on his complaint.

Whereas on the complaint of Paras, a case was not registered against the councilor, after which the women started creating ruckus in the police station itself. Both the parties started arguing with the police for about 10 minutes. Later, on the advice of the police, the women returned. Police has taken the complaint application of women.

Paras Meena and his two brothers had illegally encroached on Shahpura Food Street, after which action was taken against them and they were trying to take revenge from me. Even on Sunday, I was having tea with my friends, as soon as they saw me, they behaved indecently and then along with the women, they started assaulting me.

On the complaint of Councilor Arvind Kumar Verma, a case of assault has been registered against Paras and the women of his house. Besides, a complaint application has also been taken from the other party, after investigation of which further action will be taken.

District BJP seeks reply from councilor, notice issued

After the video of ward number 48 councilor Arvind Verma’s dispute with women was widely circulated in the internet media, the district BJP has issued a notice and sought his reply. District President Sumit Pachauri has given him a written notice that the image of BJP is being tarnished due to the video circulated. In this regard, he should submit his written explanation along with evidence and his documents within three days. If they do not do so, strict action will be taken against them.
