Seoni: Assistant fisheries officer arrested while taking bribe of 20 thousand

Naiduniya representative, Seoni. On Saturday, the Lokayukta Jabalpur team arrested Assistant Fisheries Officer Mukund Rao Bansodkar while taking a bribe of 20 thousand rupees at the district headquarters.
Kamal Singh Uike, Inspector of Lokayukta Jabalpur, said that the applicant Devi Prasad son of late Jagannath Rahangdale (49) of Pandiwada police station Ugli tehsil Keolari district Seoni had filed the complaint.
It was said that under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Yojana, he has got a pond constructed in his field for fish farming. When he met Mukund Rao Bansodkar, Assistant Fisheries Officer of the Fisheries Department, regarding the subsidy for buying fish seed and feed, he demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 in exchange for providing the subsidy.
After verification of the complaint, on the afternoon of 21st September, Assistant Fisheries Officer Mukundrao Bansodkar was arrested red handed taking a bribe of twenty thousand rupees in front of a tea shop at Bahubali Chowk.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Neetu Tripathi, Inspector Naresh Behera, Kamal Singh Uike and five other members were involved in the action.
