Digital Desk, Indore. For the first time, the government CM Rise Vinoba School of Ratlam has secured the first position not only in the country but among the schools of 100 countries of the world. He has got this place in the innovation category. The prestigious organization of USA – T for Education organizes competition every year for prestigious education awards at international level.
The organization selects schools for this award on the basis of community involvement, environmental activism, creativity, success in adversity and healthy work style. CM Rise Vinoba School has been selected for the first place in the Innovation category of World’s Best School Price 2024.
In fact, under Teachers Professional Development, teachers were brought in as agents of change through the Cycle of Growth. This resulted in success in breaking the negative perception created about government school teachers.
Engaging students and parents with Nutmeg Learning in school led to increased attendance and efficiency. Vinoba School, which runs in English and Hindi medium from classes 1 to 12, has 650 students. More than 90 percent of these students remain involved in some activity at some level throughout the year.
This is the cycle of growth
Two years ago, when he was posted in Vinoba School, Vice Principal Gajendra Singh Rathore planned the Cycle of Growth Mechanism along with senior teachers in view of the low attendance of students in the school. In this, an innovative positive circular plan of Team Hurdle and Capsule Training, Classroom Monitoring, One on One Feedback, Reward and Recognition was created for the professional development of teachers.
Many innovations like Vinoba Model of Parental Engagement, Community SA Learning Resource, Innovative Idea of Tracking Data etc. were added to this scheme through teachers. In an atmosphere of enthusiasm, an easy learning environment was created in the school.
Principal Sandhya Vora, Vice Principal Rathore, Head Teacher Anil Mishra, Seema Chauhan, Heena Shah and other teachers in the school leadership team gave regularity to this concept.
This is how the selection happened
Tea for Education had invited detailed applications from schools across the world in various categories by February 2024. As a shortlisted school out of thousands of applications, the Vice Principal of the school and President’s Award recipient teacher Gajendra Singh Rathore was selected in the Innovation category as the school leader.
This was followed by a one-hour online interview conducted by international academics. When re-selected from here, document based evaluation was done.
