The body was sent to Civil Hospital Sonkutch for post-mortem, but due to bad condition it was sent to Indore. According to the information, Mahesh had left home on September 28 and did not return. A missing complaint was lodged at the police station by his son Bablu on 29 September. Police had also issued a poster of Mahesh for search.
