Olympic and Asian Games medal winning players will be appointed to the post of gazetted officers. For this, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav gave instructions to submit a proposal to the cabinet while reviewing the Sports and Youth Welfare Department in the ministry on Wednesday.
Jobs will be given through sports quota
The Chief Minister said that the government is making efforts at every level to promote sports. Players who bring glory to the state by winning medals in the Olympics and Asian Games will be appointed to the post of gazetted officer. Excellent players will be given jobs through sports quota in Higher Education, School Education, Forest, Excise, Transport, Police and Tribal Affairs Department on the basis of their educational qualification.
He directed the Sports and Youth Welfare Department to bring a proposal for this in the cabinet. Along with this, he said that youth should be selected from different districts and adventure sports activities should be organized. There should also be a helipad in the sports stadium in every district.
include Kathiawari horses
The Chief Minister said that the performance of Kathiawadi horses is of a good level for the sport of horse riding. If we include Kathiawadi horses in sports, then even better performance can be achieved. On this, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang said that Madhya Pradesh’s performance is good in horse riding and shooting. There are 32 horses for training in the Sports Academy.
Now the director general of sports will become the director
In the meeting, departmental minister Vishwas Sarang proposed to upgrade the post of Director Sports to Director General Sports and Joint Director to Director Sports. The Chief Minister directed to submit the proposal as per rules. He said that the sports event should be organized by preparing a calendar and it should also be linked to a special day. On the proposal of sports brainstorming camp at the national level, he said that one day should be kept for brainstorming at the state level and one day at the national level.
