Mo Bus will get Centre’s Award of Excellence

Bhubaneswar: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), Bhubaneswar, has acquired Award of Excellence for implementing greatest city transport undertaking Mo Bus service in Odisha. The convention was organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in Delhi.
Reportedly, General Manager (P & A) Dipti Mahapatro has acquired the award.
The CRUT operates 225 buses underneath Mo Bus and has adopted and carried out a coverage of hiring greater than 50% of its bus conductors as ladies. ‘Mo E-Ride’ (electrical rickshaw system) in Bhubaneswar acts as a feeder service to Mo Bus operations. Electric trip, one-of-its-kind-gender inclusion and empowerment by means of public transit pilot undertaking. It will promote ladies and transgenders as drivers.
All the buses are already geared up with with Automatic Vehicle Locating System, Automatic Fare Collection System, Public Information System, on-board announcement WiFi and CCTV surveillance. Around 57% of personal car customers have shifted to Mo Bus service.
It is noteworthy of that CRUT have received Urban Mobility India award organised by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India thrice in a row. In the 12 months 2020, CRUT was awarded for ‘Innovations undertaken in Urban Transport during Covid-19’ and in 2019, for ‘Best City Bus Service Project’.
Earlier this 12 months in February CRUT additionally acquired the Smart Cities India Awards 2021 underneath the class Smart (SPV) Special Purpose Vehicle.
Meanwhile, Odisha Transport Commissioner, Managing Director (MD) of CRUT Arun Bothra has congratulated Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) for profitable three nationwide awards in three consecutive years and wrote “You have made Odisha proud again.”
