Lottery vendor from Tamil Nadu wins Rs 12 crore in Kerala’s Christmas-New Year lottery

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sharafuddin, a lottery vendor from Tenkasi in Tamil Nadu, is the winner of the Kerala State Christmas – New Year Bumper Lottery. His ticket XG 358753 received him the primary prize of Rs 12 crore.        The ticket was among the many unsold lot stored apart by him. The draw was held the opposite day however the winner couldn’t be traced. The first prize successful ticket was bought by a wholesale lottery agent at Aryankavu close to the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border.        Sharafuddin, who has his roots in Kerala, has been residing in Tenkasi together with his household for the previous a few years. He informed the media that he had been buying lottery tickets and used to win small prizes earlier.        He reached the Lottery Directorate right here on Tuesday and handed over the prize successful ticket. The fortunate winner has not but determined what to do with the prize cash.

Sharafuddin’s dad and mom hail from Kerala and his spouse Sabeena’s native place is Aryankavu in Kollam district. The couple have a son named Parvez.
