Indian Railways News: Ranchi-A woman trying to board a moving train at Ranchi station fell into the gap between the platform and the train on Sunday. RPF Staff Head Constable Kamal Mahato, on duty, showed promptness and wisdom under Operation Jeevan Raksha and immediately pulled the woman out safely and saved her life. After this the train manager stopped the train. Then the woman was boarded in the train. This incident is said to have happened between 8:40 am on January 19.
Accident happened while boarding a moving train
Special train number 02832 was departing from platform number one of Ranchi railway station. Meanwhile, a female passenger started trying to board the moving train. In this sequence, she lost her balance and fell into the gap between the platform and the train. Investigation revealed that the woman’s name is Pushpa Devi (husband: Ram Kumar Bhagat). She is a resident of Rangamati in Giridih district of Jharkhand.
This is how RPF staff head constable saved a woman’s life.
The woman was going from Bhubaneswar to Dhanbad by train. When the train reached Ranchi railway station, she got off the train on the platform to buy water and snacks. During this time the train left the platform. While boarding the moving train, she fell into the gap between the platform and the train, but the promptness of RPF staff head constable Kamal Mahato saved her life.
