Jharkhand News: BJP spokesperson Ajay Sah targeted the government and said that a budget of about ₹ 350 crore was approved for both these schemes one and a half years ago. But till date no action has been taken on this. He questioned the government that why the future of thousands of students of Jharkhand was pushed into darkness by stopping such an important plan without any clear reason?
Jharkhand news: BJP state spokesperson Ajay Sah raised an important issue related to higher education of Jharkhand during a press conference held at the BJP state office. In October 2023, he questioned the situation of two important tenders – Kalvya Training Scheme and Mukhyamantri Shiksha Promotion Scheme released by the Higher Education Department of the Government of Jharkhand. Sah said that the Hemant Sarkar had announced both these schemes in the year 2023, whose objective was to benefit 35,000 students of Jharkhand. Under these schemes, free coaching was arranged for students for competitive examinations like UPSC, JPSC, Bank PO, Medical, Engineering, SSC, Hotel Management, Mass Communication, Railway Board, etc. under these schemes. Apart from this, there was a provision to provide financial assistance of Rs 2500 to students every month.
BJP feared to stop the scheme
Ajay Sah, expressing apprehension, asked that if the budget for these schemes had been approved, should the funds prescribed for the students be diverted in any other scheme? He also asked the government to clarify whether these schemes have been completely discontinued or will they be resumed in the upcoming budget?
Sah said that students usually start coaching with a new session in April every year. If the government does not implement these schemes by March, then these schemes will be limited to paper and will never be able to land on the ground. This will affect the future of thousands of students. If the government does not take any concrete decision soon, then the educational future of the students will become bleak. He appealed to the government to immediately implement the education related schemes away from political tussle. The media cum in -charge Ashok Baraike was present in the press conference.
