Crocodile hatchling rescued in Odisha’s Kendrapara district

Kendrapara: A crocodile hatchling has been rescued from Derabis space in Kendrapara district of Odisha on Friday. Later, the reptile was reportedly handed over to Nandankanan Zoo for higher care.
As per experiences, the crocodile (ghadial) hatchling is 82 cm in size and weights 780 gram. It was rescued from Derabis space beneath Mahakalpda Range in Rajnagar Wild Life Division.

The hatchling was later handover by the Forest Department employees to Nandankanan Zoo in Bhubaneswar for higher care and observations.
This is reportedly the third case of crocodile hatchling rescue on this season. After flood season in November subsequent plan of action to launch in appropriate habitat will probably be accomplished.
