Raipur, April 10, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today attended the honor ceremony of the newly elected tribal Panchayat representatives of the Kanwar Paikra society and the annual general meeting of the Dhamtari Raj Kanwar Paikra society held in Rankadih, Dhamtari district. On this occasion, he congratulated the winning representatives in the urban body elections and the three-tier Panchayat elections. Chief Minister Shri Sai, while describing the works done by Gahira Guru Baba for the welfare of the society, talked about working for the welfare of the society by taking inspiration from him.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Kanwar and Paikra society has a glorious history, and all of us need to come together to preserve this glorious history. He said that today many people of the society are working in various fields and making the society proud. He appealed to the people of the society to stay away from alcohol and meat and participate in development.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our double-engine government has left no stone unturned in fulfilling the promises made under the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. As soon as we took the oath, we approved 1.8 million Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister Housing Scheme) houses. At the same time, approval for 40,000 houses will be given soon in Dhamtari district. The state government has purchased paddy from the farmers of the state at the rate of ₹3100 per quintal and the differential amount of its bonus has also been given to them within a week. Along with this, the outstanding paddy bonus of 2 years was also given to the farmers, which benefited the farmers of the state.
The Chief Minister said that under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, more than 7 million women of the state are being given ₹1000, and soon those women who are newly married or whose names have not been added will also be added. He said that we have also increased the rate per standard bag in tendu leaf purchase to ₹5500. Under the Ramlala Darshan Yojana and the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme, people of the state are getting an opportunity to visit religious places. Assistance is also being provided to the eligible beneficiaries of the state under the Landless Rural Agricultural Laborer Scheme. He gave information about the industrial policy of the state and the facilities being provided to the higher educational institutions and students operating in the state. Kanker Lok Sabha MP Shri Bhojraj Nag, State President Kanwar Samaj Shri Harivansh Singh Miri, President of Kanwar Samaj Shri Vishram Ji Dau and other guests also addressed the program. On this occasion, former MLA Sihawa Smt. Pinki Dhruv, former MLA Sihawa Shri Shravan Markam and many officials and villagers of the society were present in large numbers.
Chief Minister handed over the keys of PM Awas to 10 beneficiaries
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai symbolically handed over the keys of the houses to 10 beneficiaries of the Kanwar community and wished them well for the housewarming. With the aim of providing pucca houses to all eligible beneficiaries in the district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (Prime Minister Housing Scheme-Rural), 21,875 houses have been approved. Currently, a survey of new families is being conducted, in which a survey of 32,565 has been completed in the district.
25 beneficiaries got record of rights
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai discussed with 25 beneficiaries after providing them with the record of rights. He said that now there will be no problem of any kind after getting the record of rights. It is noteworthy that ownership cards are being provided in the district to families residing in the inhabited land located in rural revenue villages. Dhamtari district is at the first position in the entire state in ownership card distribution.
So far, 17,354 ownership cards have been prepared in 143 villages of Dhamtari district. Out of these, 11,551 cards have been distributed in two phases. These include 3,134 cards of 21 villages of Magarlod tehsil. A target has been set to distribute 3,345 cards of 26 villages on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day (April 24, 2025). The work of preparing the records is in progress.
