At a recent event in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai disbursed financial assistance to the children of construction workers. Under the Mukhyamantri Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana, 31 outstanding students were each awarded Rs 2 lakh. The Chief Minister also facilitated the direct transfer of over Rs 19.71 crore to the bank accounts of 38,200 construction workers registered with the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Sai highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting laborers and their families, mentioning financial assistance up to Rs 50 lakh for those wanting to study abroad. He pointed to the state’s industrial policy which has brought in over Rs 5 lakh crore in investment proposals. The event also showcased other welfare initiatives, including support for food, tools, and housing for workers.
