CBI nabs duo for bribery

TALCHER: The CBI on Wednesday arrested an assistant income inspector and the supervisor of land part of MCL’s Hingula space for taking a bribe of `20,000 to launch the compensation quantity of a land oustee.
The duo had demanded the unlawful gratification from complainant Manoj Sethy of Brahman Bahal village. Sources stated the accused had sought Rs 1 lakh bribe from Sethy to launch compensation of Rs 5.80 lakh in direction of land acquisition by MCL. The duo was caught red-handed once they have been accepting Rs 20,000 as the primary instalment from Sethy. CBI officers are conducting searches on the workplace and residences of each the accused.
