By India Today Web Desk: World number one T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav has stated he solely sees the gaps when he goes out to bat whereas reflecting on his stellar type within the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia. Suryakumar has scored 225 runs in 5 matches for India on this T20 World Cup.

Speaking with Ravichandran Ashwin for a BCCI video, Suryakumar stated he solely sees gaps when he goes out to bat, insisting that he has been having fun with his batting.

“I only see the gaps in the field when I go in to bat. I have just been enjoying batting whenever I go inside. Just in a completely different zone altogether,” stated Suryakumar.

He went on to say that he has succeeded rather a lot whereas enjoying these photographs, so his confidence is admittedly excessive.

“I have succeeded a lot of times rather than failing while playing these shots, so the confidence is really high. I am just going out and exploding. That’s it,” Suryakumar added.

Suryakumar went on to say that he enjoys batting on massive grounds, for the reason that gaps are greater.

“Coming here (in Australia), I have always enjoyed batting on big grounds. Because I see those big pockets, I see the gap and I hit the gap and I run if I am in pressure or anything. So it hasn’t been a problem for me till now,” stated Suryakumar.

Finally, the 32-year-old stated he has been working towards on bouncy tracks in Mumbai to organize himself for the T20 World Cup in Australia.

“Everyone asks this one question, that you have never been to Australia, bouncy fast tracks and big grounds, you have never played there. What is your preparation going to be like, but I said the same thing. When I practice back home, I practice at Wankhede, where the bounce is pretty good. Though the ground is not that big, the bounce is the same and they prepare good fast tracks for me so I practice a lot over there,” Suryakumar added.

With Suryakumar in blistering type, Team India is about to face England within the second semi-final on the Adelaide Oval on November 10.
