Kohli denounced an “absolute invasion” of his privateness by a fan who shot a video of his resort room and made it public. Kohli re-shared the viral video on his Instagram account, together with a message stating that he’s not okay with such “fanaticism.”

“I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that,” Kohli wrote.

“But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment.”

The Crown Perth resort has reportedly apologised to India’s charismatic batter Virat Kohli for an alleged invasion of privateness by a fan who took a video of the cricketer’s room whereas he was enjoying the ICC T20 World Cup Super-12 sport towards South Africa.

The resort apologized “unconditionally” to Kohli and acknowledged that the people concerned within the act had been eliminated.
