Ben Stokes, the current England captain, is optimistic about Jofra Archer’s return to Test cricket, contrasting with the views of former captain Michael Vaughan. Vaughan believes Archer shouldn’t be immediately included in the playing XI for the second Test against India at Edgbaston. Stokes highlighted his pleasure in seeing Archer back in action. England is leading the five-match series 1-0. Archer has played 13 Test matches and has 42 wickets. Vaughan is of the opinion that Archer should play red ball cricket for Sussex before participating in the Test at Lord’s.
