Shubman Gill’s injury has become a point of concern for Team India before their match against Pakistan. The vice-captain for the Asia Cup 2025, Gill was injured during practice. The injury was to his hand, and he appeared to be in pain.
After the injury, the team’s physio rushed to attend to him, monitoring his condition. Gill left the nets and was seen sitting with an ice pack on his hand. Captain Suryakumar Yadav and coach Gautam Gambhir checked on him, and Abhishek Sharma offered him water.
Gill’s injury wasn’t serious and he soon returned to the nets to resume practice. The physio kept a close watch on him during practice. This suggests that there isn’t major cause for alarm within the Indian camp.
Leading up to the match against Pakistan, Team India had an extensive practice session, with the batsmen focusing on their drills. During practice, Shubman Gill even faced deliveries from Jasprit Bumrah.
The India vs. Pakistan match in the Asia Cup 2025 will be held in Dubai. This will be the second match for both teams in the tournament. India previously won against UAE, and Pakistan won against Oman.
