Shreyas Iyer’s poor form continues to plague his game as he struggled against Australia A. Playing in an unofficial Test match, he was dismissed after scoring a mere 8 runs from 13 balls. This follows a string of low scores in recent matches, including the Duleep Trophy where his semi-final performance was also underwhelming. The captain of India A team has not been performing well. Despite Iyer’s disappointing performance, four Indian batsmen displayed excellent form, each scoring a half-century and boosting India A’s score close to 400 runs. Narayan Jagadeesan, batting behind the wickets, scored 64 runs, with Sai Sudarshan adding 73. Devdutt Padikkal and Dhruv Jurel also made significant contributions, with Jurel approaching a century. Earlier, Australia A had put up a massive score of 532/6 declared in their first innings, with two of their batsmen making centuries.
