Kanpur Superstars’ decision to bowl first proved costly. Madhav Kaushik of Meerut Mavericks was outstanding, scoring 95 runs not out off just 31 deliveries, including 10 fours and 7 sixes. Rituraj Sharma also scored 60 runs not out off 26 balls and Akshay Dubey added 44 runs off 26 balls, setting a target of 225/2. Kanpur Superstars struggled and could not keep up, with captain Sameer Rizvi top-scoring with 45 runs. Meerut Mavericks won comfortably by 86 runs.
