Cricket fans are anticipating the Asia Cup 2025, which is slated to begin on September 9 and conclude on September 28. The BCCI has recently announced a change to the tournament’s schedule, specifically concerning the match timings.
A key alteration involves the rescheduling of 18 out of the 19 matches, including the final. These matches will now commence at 6:30 PM local time, which is equivalent to 8:00 PM IST. This impacts the highly awaited India vs. Pakistan encounter.
The rationale behind this schedule adjustment is the extreme heat expected in the subcontinent during September, where temperatures can be very high. The revised timings were requested by the BCCI to ensure player welfare and maintain the quality of the matches. Broadcasters agreed to this change.
All of India’s group stage and knockout matches will now take place at 8:00 PM IST, offering a more convenient viewing time for fans.
The UAE vs. Oman match, which is scheduled for September 15 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, will be played at its original time.
This scheduling change for the Asia Cup 2025 aims to provide a better playing environment for the athletes and to enhance the experience for the viewers.
