“As a team we realise how valuable R Ashwin is. In my opinion he is one the greatest match winner for India. There have been very few match-winners like him. The number of matches he has helped us win what can I say,”Mhambrey advised reporters.

Mhambrey says that the he alongside different teaching staffs checked the stats of the native video games and it’s the place they realised that as the sport will progress the spinners will name the pictures.

“When we came here on Day 1, it was a bit dry and when we checked the stats of the local games we found out that spinners dominated in those games. We felt as the game progresses it will be difficult for batting and the other thing is how we use the wicket. They have batted and we have batted as well and there were situations where teams could have batted for longer periods which we did. That created the base for the bowlers to later come and perform. The way Ashwin and Jadeja came on later and bowled is praiseworthy,” he stated.

On the medical efficiency the bowling coach stated each the batters and the bowlers executed their plans to perfection.

“Ideal start for a Test match, you want to carry the performance from the last Test match or Test series. Honestly, if you ask me I did not think it would be that easy. Yes, looking at the wicket the wicket was difficult and started to turn more as the day progressed it was dry early on but the way we applied batting and bowling was extremely happy to see that,” he stated.

The bowling coach additionally lauded opener Yashasvi Jaiswal’s knock and name his knock “fabulous”. Yashasvi Jaiswal appeared all set to get to a double hundred on Test debut, such was his utility and management on a pitch that was not a featherbed by any means. Neither tempo nor spin fazed him, and one felt it might be solely a batting error or lack of endurance that might show to be his downfall. The teenager making his Test debut scored 171 and helped India win the match by an innings and 141 runs.

“The way he has batted is fabulous. I thought for a debutant to come in and not on an easy wicket obviously it was a slow wicket it got slower as the game progressed the stroke-making wasn’t easy. If you look at his batting earlier he is the kind of guy who likes to take on the game but the way he applied himself on that wicket is very good to see,” Mhambrey stated.

“That is what is needed at the international level you must be able to adapt to different conditions and positions and most importantly that was expected by the team and he did the role for the team which is definitely very heartening to see. The performance he gave here will give him a lot of confidence going ahead.”

With match ended inside three days, the bowling coach stated the end result has given a number of positives for the workforce.

“A win like this will make a difference especially when you finish a game in three days you take a lot of positives like the way we batted and the spinners bowled on a surface which was turning,” he stated.

With West Indies cricket hitting one other low, there was a number of talks about what’s the level of getting this sequence towards a struggling workforce. However, the bowling coach stated workforce doesn’t care in regards to the exterior noise they usually know the significance of taking part in worldwide cricket.

“When we came on this tour we knew we were playing international cricket which is the highest level of cricket. I don’t think we don’t no individual or team need more motivation than that. We were clear about our approach and the way we wanted to go about the Test series, T20 series and ODI series. What people say on the outside is irrelevant what is important is our thought process we execute our plans and rest,” he stated.
