Cricket Australia has announced several modifications to its ODI and T20I squads for the concluding leg of the white-ball series against India. Jack Edwards, an all-rounder from New South Wales, has been added to the ODI squad for the third and final match of the series. Prominent batsman Marnus Labuschagne has been released from the ODI squad, with the intention of him preparing for Queensland’s upcoming Sheffield Shield fixture against NSW. Matthew Kuhnemann has also been brought back into the ODI squad after missing the previous game.
The T20I squad sees considerable restructuring. Pace bowlers Josh Hazlewood and Sean Abbott will be unavailable for the latter T20Is to play in a round four Shield match. Hazlewood will play the first two T20Is, and Abbott will leave after the third. Star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is set to return for the last three T20Is, and Ben Dwarshuis will feature in the final two matches of the T20I series, adding depth to the Australian lineup.
