Jhulan Goswami pays tribute to Sania Mirza on her retirement: A task mannequin and inspiration for thousands and thousands

Former India pacer Jhulan Goswami has paid her tribute to Sania Mirza after she retired from tennis, saying she is an icon who grew to become a job mannequin and inspiration for thousands and thousands. Mirza performed the final match of her profession within the Dubai Tennis Championship.

By India Today Web Desk: Former India pacer Jhulan Goswami has paid her tribute to Sania Mirza after she retired from tennis, saying she is an icon who grew to become a job mannequin and inspiration for thousands and thousands. Mirza performed the final match of her profession within the Dubai Tennis Championship.

Taking to Twitter, Goswami wished Mirza a cheerful retirement by calling her a job mannequin and inspiration.

“End of an era! Today #IndianTennis bids its goodbye to the icon who became a role model and inspiration for millions. Happy retirement @MirzaSania,” posted Goswami on her Twitter account.

Mirza performed her last event in Dubai after asserting that she would draw the curtain on her tennis profession just a few weeks in the past. She partnered with singles World quantity 23 Madison Keys and was up towards the Russian pair of Veronika Kudermetova and Liudmila Samsonova. Mirza and her associate, Keys, misplaced the match in straight units 4-6, 0-6.

The first set of the match on Court 3 went proper down the wire, however the Russian pair closed out the set by holding their nerves. Mirza and Keys earned a break of serve, however conceded two and went down. The second set was a totally one-sided affair. Kudermetova and Samsonova didn’t give Mirza and Keys any form of respiratory house.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has not been form to Mirza off late. After she made a Round of 16 exit within the Abu Dhabi Open, she didn’t carry out within the event in Dubai.

Mirza burst on to the tennis circuit again in 2005, and was deemed as one of many brightest prospects in Indian tennis. In August 2007, Mirza achieved her career-highest singles rating of 27.
