South Africa has been dealt a blow with Kagiso Rabada being ruled out of the ODI series against Australia due to an ankle injury. The fast bowler suffered the injury, which will prevent him from playing in the three-match series. The South African cricket board shared the information via social media. Rabada’s injury was confirmed after a scan on Monday. He will remain in Australia to receive treatment under the care of the South African medical team. Kwena Maphaka, a 19-year-old fast bowler, has been included in the squad in Rabada’s place. Maphaka played in the T20 series against Australia, where he took nine wickets. The first ODI saw Aiden Markram, Ryan Rickelton, and captain Temba Bavuma in the playing eleven, along with Breetzke, Stubbs, Brevis, Wiaan Mulder, Keshav Maharaj, Prenelan Subrayen, Nandre Burger, and Lungi Ngidi.
