Saurabh Chaudhary and Suruchi Singh added a bronze medal to India’s tally at the Asian Shooting Championship 2025, competing in the 10m air pistol mixed team event in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, on August 20th. The Indian duo showcased their shooting prowess, despite facing initial setbacks. This bronze is part of India’s achievements in the senior event, which includes a silver and three bronze medals. In the bronze medal match, they outperformed the Chinese Taipei team of Heng Yu-Liu and Hsiang Chen-Hsieh, with a score of 17-9. In the qualification round, the Indian team secured fifth place with a score of 578 (20x), with Suruchi scoring 292 points and Saurabh scoring 286. Suruchi’s performance in the qualification round started with a perfect score, with subsequent scores of 94 and 98 in the subsequent rounds. Chaudhary’s scores were 95, 96 and 95. Palak Gulia and Aditya Malra, another Indian team, did not qualify for the medal rounds, placing tenth in the qualification round with a score of 575 (20x).
