The team secured India’s first gold medal in the men’s compound team event, defeating France in the final and etching their names in the history books.
The team of Prathmesh, Aman, and Rishabh secured the victory against France with a score of 235-233, reflecting a closely fought battle that went down to the wire, decided after four sets.
India was behind after the first set 57-59, and the second set ended in a tie at 117-117. Both teams were tied again at 176-176 in the third set, pushing the final set to be decisive. India scored 59 points in the fourth set compared to France’s 57, leading to India’s victory at 235-233.
Rishabh Yadav also won a silver medal in the mixed event with Jyothi Surekha, losing to the Netherlands in a close match with a score of 155-157.
