India need to carry momentum of Australia ODI sequence win to World Cup 2023: Rahul Dravid

India males’s head coach Rahul Dravid stated that India need to carry the momentum of the ODI sequence win in opposition to Australia into the World Cup 2023, scheduled to begin on October 5.

On Wednesday, September 27, India misplaced to the Aussies by 66 runs within the third and last ODI on the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) Stadium in Rajkot.

After successful the primary two matches of the sequence, India had already sealed the destiny of the sequence.

“For all those guys, game-time was important. The fact that they have been able to get that is, I think, something that we are much better off for it,” Dravid was quoted as saying within the post-match press convention.

Dravid was glad to see how the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Ravi Ashwin and KL Rahul carried out within the sequence. The head coach additionally had phrases of reward for Shreyas Iyer, who scored 100 in Indore after coming back from an harm layoff.

“Jassi has been able to play a couple of games and bowl his quota of 10 overs, Siraj (was) suffering from a little bit of a bug but he got back and was able to bowl.”

“(For) Ashwin, it was really nice to see the way he bowled in the first two games. KL as well, the keeping right through the 50 overs, he is coming off after almost 6-7 months,” he acknowledged.

“Shreyas has performed a few actually good knocks within the final couple of video games. We know now we have to maintain bettering but in addition hope that we feature this momentum into the World Cup,” Dravid added.

India’s first match within the World Cup is in opposition to Australia on October 8 on the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Prior to that, India are scheduled to lock horns with England and the Netherlands in Guwahati and Trivandrum respectively.
