The 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League saw two teams finally break their losing streaks. Bengaluru Bulls and Gujarat Giants, both of whom struggled in the initial phase of the season, recorded their first wins on the same day. Gujarat defeated Tamil Thalaivas in a gripping encounter with a score of 37-28 in Visakhapatnam on September 6th. Bengaluru also secured their first victory by defeating Patna Pirates with an 8-point difference, marking their first win in the fourth match. Patna suffered their third consecutive loss and remains the only team that has not opened its account yet.
In the 17th match of the season at Viswanadh Sports Club Stadium, Bengaluru played against the three-time champion, Patna. Bengaluru, having lost its first three matches, required a win, and its attack and defense worked very well in this match. With excellent performances by Alireza Mirjafari (10 points) and Ashish Malik (8 points), Bengaluru defeated Patna with a score of 38-30.
