Irfan Pathan, a former Indian cricketer, criticized Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan for their behavior during the Asia Cup match. India won against Pakistan twice in the tournament. Pathan stated that the Pakistani players seemed more focused on causing problems than playing cricket.
The match included several heated incidents, involving Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf. Sahibzada Farhan’s gun gesture and Haris Rauf’s plane and scoreline gestures were seen as inappropriate.
Pathan, through his YouTube channel, criticized the Pakistani players, noting that Indian cricketers typically maintain composure and showcase their abilities on the field. He affirmed that India would respond if provoked.
Pathan also mentioned that India doesn’t focus on Pakistan’s losses, like the one to Zimbabwe in the 2022 World Cup. He suggested that India doesn’t give much importance to whether Pakistan wins or loses.
Pathan warned that if provoked, India would respond. He referred to Farhan’s celebration, especially considering the current situation between the two countries.
He conveyed his disappointment in Haris Rauf’s actions, highlighting his differing perception of the player based on previous interactions. He concluded that the players’ behavior offered insights into their upbringing.
