‘Forget the high five, give me a hug’: Usman Khawaja reveals what he advised Cameron Green after scoring ton in 4th Test

Australian opener Usman Khawaja has revealed he advised Cameron Green to hug him after he received to his century on day one of many fourth Test towards India on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Speaking after the sport Khawaja mentioned, “It was a psychological battle greater than the rest. You must hold doing it for a very long time. Australia had been 255 for 4 at stumps. Opener Khawaja and Cameron Green had been batting on 104 and 49 respectively on the shut of play.

After skipper Steve Smith opted to bat, Australia had been off to begin with the duo of Khawaja and Travis Head including 61 runs for the primary wicket.

R Ashwin gave India their first breakthrough when he dismissed Head for 32. In between Smith’s dismissal by Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami bowled Marnus Labuschagne (3) and Peter Handscomb (17) with two lovely deliveries.

India lead the collection 2-1.
