By India Today Web Desk: The fixtures of the FIFA World Cup 2022 quarterfinals had been determined after Portugal defeated Switzerland 6-1 within the final Round of 16 match on Tuesday, December 6 at Lusail Stadium.

Portugal will face Morocco within the semi-final on Saturday, December 10 at Al Thumama Stadium. Morocco, on Tuesday, superior to their maiden World Cup quarterfinals after beating Spain 3-0 on penalties. They additionally defeated Canada and Belgium within the Group stage.

In the meantime, the quarterfinals will start on December 9 with the match between Croatia and Brazil on the Education Stadium. Brazil want to win their sixth World Cup title and can go into the quarters after a thumping 4-1 win over South Korea.

Interestingly, Brazil received their fifth and final World Cup title when the event came about in an Asian nation again in 2002. Netherlands and Argentina will lock horns within the second match on Friday at Lusail Stadium.
