By India Today Web Desk: Spain coach Luis Enrique wasn’t pleased by any means after his workforce needed to combat out of their pores and skin to advance to the Round of 16 in FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

The Spanish workforce began its marketing campaign with a thunderous 7-0 win over Costa Rica of their very first match. But they did not safe victory from there on.

After ending 1-1 in opposition to Germany, Spain misplaced to Japan 1-2 of their final Group E match on Wednesday, December 1 at Khalifa International Stadium.

After Alvaro Morte gave Spain a 1-0 lead within the first half, Japan hit again with two back-to-back targets inside an area of three minutes within the second half. Spain couldn’t get well from there on.

Spain misplaced the match, however went by way of to the Round of 16 after edging out Germany, who beat Costa Rica 4-2, on objective distinction.

“I am not happy at all. Yes, we have qualified, I would have liked to be on top of winning this game. This was impossible because in five minutes, Japan scored two goals … we were out, we were dismantled,” Enrique was quoted as saying to a information convention.

“I didn’t miss anything, because we tried it all. We had strikers playing infield, we tried to create the chances. They were defending aggressively, they were closing down the spaces,” he stated.

“And in fact with these features, you’re going to be at risk … that is what occurs in soccer, and how will you handle this collapse that we suffered?,” he asked with a note of incredulity,” Enrique added.

Enrique wasn’t conscious of the truth that when Costa Rica have been main 2-1 in opposition to the Germans, Spain have been at risk of getting knocked out.

“If I had found out, I would have had a heart attack,” he stated.
