The Outer Delhi Warriors defeated the North Delhi Strikers by seven wickets in a high-scoring Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 match held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The Warriors gained two important points from this victory.
Batting first, the North Delhi Strikers posted a competitive total of 193/6 in 20 overs after a shaky start. Vaibhav Kandpal top-scored with a well-crafted 73 off 40 balls, blending calculated shots with powerful hitting. Arjun Rapria added 33 off 19 balls, while Gagan Vats contributed a quickfire 18 off 4 balls to the total.
Siddhant Sharma was the standout bowler for the Warriors, claiming 3 wickets for 24 runs in four overs. His timely wickets disrupted the Strikers’ momentum.
Chasing a target of 194, the Warriors lost opener Sanat Sangwan early on. However, Priyansh Arya and Rishabh Drall formed a crucial 67-run partnership to regain control of the innings. Drall scored a solid 38 from 25 balls before getting out.
Priyansh Arya was the star performer, smashing 76 runs off just 30 deliveries. His aggressive batting approach dismantled the opposition’s bowling attack. Despite being caught by Sarthak Ranjan off Vikas Dixit, his knock set the foundation for the win.
Keshav Dabas and Dhruv Singh then ensured a smooth finish. Dabas remained unbeaten on 46 off 35 balls, while Dhruv scored a brisk 26 off 17, as the Warriors completed the chase in 18 overs.
