Money Grewal’s outstanding performance propelled Central Delhi Kings to a 62-run victory over the East Delhi Riders in the DPL 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Grewal’s exceptional bowling, highlighted by a hattrick, led to a five-wicket haul, crippling the East Delhi Riders.
East Delhi Riders started their chase of 156 with an early setback. Grewal then took center stage in the third over, showcasing his fast bowling skills. He took his first wicket, dismissing Hardik Sharma, followed by a yorker that knocked out Shivam Tripathi, and dismissed East Delhi Riders captain Anuj Rawat.
Grewal took the wickets of Arpit Rana and Mayank Rawat, finishing with figures of 5/23 in 4 overs. Aryavir Sehwag, son of Virender Sehwag, debuted, scoring 22 runs off 16 balls. Yugal Saini contributed a half-century, and Jasvir Sehrawat anchored the innings with an unbeaten 37 off 35.
Both teams are already in the playoffs. The win moved the Central Delhi Kings to the top of the points table with 15 points.
