India’s ninth Asia Cup victory was secured with a 5-wicket win over Pakistan on September 28th. The Player of the Tournament, Abhishek Sharma, received a Haval H9 SUV. Sharma’s consistent performance throughout the tournament saw him score 314 runs over seven innings.
India’s triumph over Pakistan was marked by Tilak Varma’s contribution of 69 runs and Rinku Singh’s match-winning performance in the final over. The Indian team maintained an unbeaten streak throughout the tournament, winning all nine matches.
The Haval H9, a model from Haval, a subsidiary of Great Wall Motors (GWM), is known globally. It is powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol engine that provides approximately 214 hp and 380 Nm of torque. It has an 8-speed automatic transmission and can reach a top speed of approximately 200 km/h, with fuel efficiency estimated to be between 9–12 km/l.
This SUV features Level 2 ADAS systems, including Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Collision Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking. The interior offers a 14.6-inch touchscreen, a 10-speaker audio system, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging. Although Haval plans to launch the H9 in India, estimated at around Rs 40 lakh, it is currently not available for purchase in the Indian market.
