By India Today Web Desk: Former India wicket-keeping batter Saba Karim has stated that Australia will likely be going through a tricky Indian bowling assault within the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India is ready to face Australia within the first Test of the four-match collection on the VCA Stadium in Nagpur on February 9.

Speaking to India News Sports, Karim stated Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja complement one another very effectively and don’t give area to batters to attain runs simply.

“Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja complement each other. They don’t give batters any space to score runs easily as they both can attack the edge of the bat. Jadeja’s ball can come in and can also turn away,” stated Karim.

He stated that not many groups have such a bowling mixture, including that Nathan Lyon doesn’t have the carom ball in his cabinet, which might have an effect on his performances.

“Ashwin can get the inside edge with his regular off-spinners and his carrom ball increases the chances of the outside edge. Not many teams have such a bowling combination. The majority of Nathan Lyon’s wickets come from inside edges. He doesn’t have the carrom ball,” Karim added.

Karim stated India has a really balanced bowling assault, insisting that India’s pace-bowling assault can also be sensible.

“India have a very balanced bowling attack. However, the spinners still have the upper hand. But our pace bowlers also back them up brilliantly. They know how to extract reverse swing in Indian conditions. It is very important to go into the match with the right fast bowlers,” stated Karim.

He went on to say that Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami have accomplished rather well in these situations, including that the Australians could be going through a tricky bowling assault.

“We have Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami who’ve accomplished exceptionally effectively in these situations. Mohammed Siraj is one other rising pacer who is aware of the place to pitch the ball and tips on how to use the reverse swing. The Australian batters are below nice strain, as they are going to be going through a tricky bowling assault,” Karim added.
