The BCCI is in search of a new sponsor, as the previous agreement with Dream11 has concluded. The BCCI has increased the base price for team sponsorship. Any company sponsoring Team India will be required to pay 3.5 crore rupees for each bilateral series match and 1.5 crore rupees for ICC and Asia Cup tournaments. This strategic move by the BCCI is projected to generate over 400 crore rupees. The board has sought applications from companies for sponsorship, explicitly prohibiting gaming, betting, crypto, and tobacco companies. Additionally, sports apparel brands, insurance, and banking-finance companies are also restricted from applying.
