Babar Azam compares Naseem’s sixes to Javed Miandad’s Sharjah strike; Ravi Shastri says ‘thanks for reminding’

After Pakistan chased down 130 in opposition to Afghanistan in a final over thriller, everybody had only one title on their lips, that of Naseem Shah. It needed to be Sharjah, which through the years has performed host to numerous thrillers and this one was not any totally different. The match was delicately balanced on a knife edge, with no clear winner in sight until the final over.

As Pakistan capitulated in the direction of the top, all appeared misplaced when Naseem needed to face Farooqi within the final over with 11 runs required from 6 balls. But the younger bowler held his nerves and smashed two sixes from the primary two balls of the final over to take Pakistan all the best way to the Asia Cup remaining and entrenched himself within the annals of cricketing lore.
