Asia Cup Final: Don’t assume India will threat enjoying Shreyas Iyer, says Sanjay Bangar forward of Sri Lanka conflict

Former batting coach Sanjay Bangar has stated that India won’t threat enjoying batter Shreyas Iyer within the closing of Asia Cup 2023. India is all set to lock horns with hosts Sri Lanka within the closing of Asia Cup 2023 on the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Speaking to Star Sports, Bangar stated he doesn’t assume India will threat enjoying Iyer within the Asia Cup closing. Iyer was declared match for the Asia Cup however picked up a again spasm forward of India’s Super-4 match in opposition to Pakistan.

“We saw in the game against Bangladesh, they made five changes, there was a chance that even Shreyas Iyer could have got a game. The very fact that the team management wants to be patient and wants to give Shreyas Iyer that much time, I don’t think the team management will risk playing Shreyas Iyer at least in this particular match,” stated Bangar.

He went on to heap reward on wicket-keeping batter Ishan Kishan, saying he has accomplished fabulously in his previous few matches. Kishan has scored 120 runs in three innings within the ongoing Asia Cup, together with a gritty half-century in opposition to Pakistan within the group-stages.

“Ishan Kishan has done fabulously well in the last five-six innings that he has played – three innings in the West Indies under trying situations, and a couple of useful innings (in the Asia Cup), one was a superb innings against Pakistan.
