Gujarat: Bajrang Dal removes ‘Pakistani Food Festival’ banner in Surat, restaurant points apology

On Monday (December 14), Bajrang Dal employees tore down a contentious banner endorsing a ‘Pakistani food festival’ in Surat metropolis of Gujarat.
As per experiences, the 10-day meals pageant was organised by a series of eating places known as ‘Taste of India’ between December 12 and December 22. He additional added, “Later, we went to the spot and brought down the hoarding. We also called Dawer, the owner, and asked him why he has organised such a food festival. He apologised.”
Meanwhile, the restaurant proprietor Sandeep Dawer had accepted his mistake and vowed to not use the phrase Pakistani because it damage the feelings of individuals. While talking concerning the matter, he added, “When we were using that word we felt that some people might not like it, but we did not know it would turn out like this…We are just serving cuisine which has nothing to do with Pakistan as such. The second name of Mughlai cuisine is Pakistani food.”
He added that no Pakistani delicacies chef was invited to the meals pageant. Dawer added that the menu was ready by the restaurant employees by means of on-line movies. The Bajrang Dal members didn’t register a police grievance towards the accused restaurant. Deviprasad Dubey clarified that he had been ready for directions from leaders and can act on their directives.
