Official to probe marks rip-off: Govt

Speaking in reference to an alleged rip-off on the Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University (HNGU) whereby marks of medical college students have been modified in reassessment course of and passing those that had failed, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama stated on Wednesday stated that the state authorities had appointed Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Pankaj Kumar to probe the matter and that it (govt) “does not want to shield anybody”.
The difficulty was raised by Congress MLA from Patan constituency Kirit Patel as a matter of pressing public consideration. As per Patel, some medical college students of first 12 months have been declared go after altering their reply sheets within the reassessment course of. This, Patel stated, has resulted in resentment not solely amongst college students of the college, but in addition amongst frequent folks.
