40 girl students suddenly fell ill during the Independence Day program in village Dabar of Dhar district

The sick students were treated in the hospital.

Naiduniya News, Dhar, Dharampuri. 40 school girls participating in the flag hoisting program organized on Independence Day suddenly fell ill. The incident took place in the Government Higher Secondary School located in village Dabar under Umarban development block of Manawar tehsil.

Three girl students were sent to Dhar

This incident happened during the program organized after flag hoisting on Independence Day. When the students complained of nervousness and restlessness, they were sent to the nearest hospital. Some were given first aid at the local level. Some children were admitted to the community hospital in Dharampuri. Among them, three students were referred to Dhar. There was chaos in the hospital.

The condition of the girl students had worsened

After the incident, the condition of the students brought to the local community hospital for treatment was deteriorating, whose treatment was started immediately. Even after this, the condition of some students worsened, who were referred to Dhar for treatment. During this time, Assistant Commissioner Tribal Affairs Dhar Brajkant Shukla, SDM Rahul Gupta, Tehsildar Shivani Srivastava, TI Santosh Singh Yadav, BEO Veer Singh Rajput, Principal in-charge of the concerned school Dilip Singh Dodve and other officials reached the spot.

Due to superstition, many girl students were considered as an external obstacle by their parents and they took them to sorcerers for exorcism. When some girl students were referred from Dharampuri hospital, the parents started arguing with the officials to take their children for sorcery. While giving information, the villagers said that the health of about 40-50 girl students had deteriorated in the school. Out of the girls whose health was deteriorating more, seven girls were brought to Dharampuri hospital for treatment. Out of these, three girls were referred to Dhar.

This could be the reason

The students got up early in the morning and reached the school to participate in the program organized on Independence Day. In their hurry to reach early, the students did not eat or drink anything. They came to school with only tea and biscuits. During the program, the weather was clear and the sun was shining brightly. Due to this, there was intense heat and humidity. Due to excessive sweating and weakness, the health of some students suddenly deteriorated, seeing which the health of other students also deteriorated.
