Youth Demand Fair Representation in CJP Core Committee Meeting

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar – A fresh protest erupted in the city as young members of the Chhattisgarh Janata Party gathered outside Abhijit Dipke’s house on August 6. Their grievance centers on the recent core‑committee meeting, which they say was restricted to a handful of Dipke’s trusted aides.

The activists, many of whom acted as Jantar‑Mantar movement coordinators, argue that the exclusion of over 400 volunteers undermines the spirit of the original nationwide student uprising. They allege that the party’s internal selection process favoured relatives and friends, contrary to democratic principles.

The protesters warned that they will maintain a sit‑in until the party convenes a new meeting that includes all volunteer representatives. They also criticised the silence of spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka, who reportedly engaged in late‑night talks without offering a concrete response.

Manish Brahmbhatt, addressing the media, emphasised that the demand is not personal but a call for a transparent, inclusive decision‑making framework that reflects the movement’s grassroots base.
