Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, witnessed a cloudburst on Sunday, June 29, 2025, which resulted in severe damage to an under-construction hotel near Silai Band on the Barkot-Yamunotri Marg. As a result, 8-9 workers are reported missing from the site. District Magistrate Prashant Arya confirmed that search and rescue operations are underway. The SDRF and NDRF teams are actively working at the construction site to locate the missing individuals.
