Speaking at the TV9 Network Iconic Travel and Tourism Summit 2025 in New Delhi, former NITI Aayog CEO and G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant highlighted the tourism sector’s potential to fuel India’s future growth, projecting the creation of 25 million jobs. He stressed that India’s rapid development depends on its excellence in travel, tourism, and creativity.
Kant congratulated the award recipients, recognizing them as the bedrock of India’s soft and hard power. He also highlighted that the tourism sector is essential in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s objective of elevating the economy to over $30 trillion by 2047, considering the current $4 trillion economy.
