A tragic incident unfolded at a private firecracker manufacturing unit in Vetrilaiyurani village, Sivakasi taluk, Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu, where an explosion resulted in one fatality and injuries to five others. The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m., claiming the life of 50-year-old Balagurusamy. The Tamil Nadu government has announced financial assistance for the affected individuals.
Meanwhile, in Himachal Pradesh, a separate incident saw a car plummet into a gorge near Rahni Nala, close to Rohtang Pass, in Kullu district. Four people lost their lives, and one sustained serious injuries.
