Three girls dealing with human trafficking case try suicide exterior circle officer’s workplace in Uttar Pradesh

MUZAFFARNAGAR: Shunned by their households, three girls dealing with a human trafficking case allegedly tried suicide by consuming poison exterior the workplace of a police officer in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district, officers stated on Saturday.

The incident occurred on Friday.

The girls had been rushed to the hospital and discharged later within the day, the police officers stated.

The three girls tried suicide by consuming poison exterior the workplace of the circle officer of Sadar, the police stated.

According to a suicide observe written by the ladies, they had been dealing with social boycott and had been shunned by their husbands and in-laws after they had been arrested in reference to the human trafficking case, the police stated.

The girls had been arrested throughout a raid in Shamli on January 3, they stated.

Circle Officer Bijendra Bhadana stated the three girls had been rushed to the hospital.

Station House Officer of Kotwali police station Yashpal Singh stated the three girls had been later discharged from the hospital and despatched to their houses.
