The INDIA bloc has finalized its leadership for the Bihar assembly polls, declaring RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate. This much-anticipated declaration comes after weeks of negotiation and is designed to showcase alliance solidarity and quell internal friction. The ‘Son of Mallah,’ Mukesh Sahni, has also reportedly been chosen as the Deputy CM candidate, completing the opposition’s top leadership slate. The BJP has reacted by questioning the visual representation of the alliance, specifically the absence of Rahul Gandhi’s image. Simultaneously, a significant influx of travelers is heading towards Bihar from Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi to participate in the Chhath Puja festival. The Ministry of Railways has mobilized 13,000 special trains, with the Railway Minister personally overseeing operations. Separately, concerning incidents involving the misuse of crude PVC pipe guns during Diwali celebrations in Madhya Pradesh have resulted in serious injuries, with many individuals losing eyesight and requiring hospitalization in areas such as Bhopal, Vidisha, Jabalpur, and Seoni.
